Privacy Policy
Suhn Law Group (“the Firm”) establishes and implements this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea to protect the personal information and rights of data subjects.
Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
The Firm processes personal information for the following purposes. Personal data will not be used for any purposes other than those specified below, and in the event of any change in the purpose of use, the Firm will take necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
ㆍFor clients and potential clients: To handle legal matters, process payments, distribute newsletters and marketing materials produced by the Firm, perform tax filings, and provide other relevant information.
ㆍFor job applicants: To evaluate eligibility and make hiring decisions.
Article 2 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Information)
1. The Firm processes and retains personal information within the period consented to by the data subject or as required by relevant laws.
2. The retention periods are as follows:
ㆍClients and potential clients: Information collected through business cards, written forms (such as powers of attorney or contracts), telephone/fax, email, etc., is retained until the purpose of processing is achieved or until the client requests deletion.
ㆍJob applicants: Information collected through forms, telephone/fax, email, etc., is retained for up to three (3) years after the hiring decision or until the applicant requests deletion.
Article 3 (Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing)
To facilitate smooth business operations, the Firm entrusts certain tasks involving personal data to third-party service providers as follows:
ㆍService Providers: SK Shieldus, People & Car
ㆍScope of Services: Visitor access control, valet parking, and related services.
Article 4 (Rights of Data Subjects and Methods of Exercise)
Data subjects may exercise the following rights regarding their personal information at any time:
Request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing.
Such requests may be made via written submission, email, or fax, and the Firm will respond without delay.
These rights may also be exercised through a legal representative or an authorized agent, provided a valid power of attorney is submitted.
Please note that, pursuant to Articles 35(4) and 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act, access or processing suspension may be restricted in certain circumstances. Where another law explicitly requires data collection, requests for correction or deletion may not be granted.
Article 5 (Personal Information Collected)
1. The Firm collects and processes the following personal information:
ㆍClients and potential clients: Name, contact information, and other details necessary for contract fulfillment.
ㆍJob applicants: Name, photo, date of birth, contact information, educational background, work history, veteran status, and any other personal information provided in the application or supporting documents.
In the course of using our online services, the following information may be automatically collected:
IP address, cookies, MAC address, service usage records, and visit logs.
Article 6 (Destruction of Personal Information)
1. When the retention period expires or the purpose of processing is fulfilled, the Firm will promptly destroy the relevant personal information.
2. If the Firm is legally required to retain information beyond the agreed retention period, such data will be securely stored in a separate database or physical location.
3. Electronic files will be permanently deleted using secure methods, while paper documents will be shredded or incinerated.
Article 7 (Measures to Ensure Security of Personal Information)
The Firm implements appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information and ensure data security.
Article 8 (Cookies and Automatic Data Collection)
1. Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device by the website server to enhance browsing experiences. Users may choose to allow or reject cookie collection.
