Hee-Yeon Kim, Managing Partner of Law Firm Seon, has recently been appointed as a member of the Civil Review Committee for Traffic Accidents under the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Established to enhance fairness and objectivity in the handling of traffic accidents, the committee serves as an external advisory body. It reviews the appropriateness of decisions made by field officers regarding traffic accidents and may recommend further review when necessary. The committee comprises experts from diverse fields including law, medicine, and traffic safety, and plays a key role in ensuring transparency and strengthening public trust in the police’s judgment.

Attorney Kim brings a wealth of experience across civil, criminal, and corporate law. Prior to founding Law Firm Seon, she served as an attorney at Yulchon LLC, Executive Director of Legal and Compliance at Pernod Ricard Korea, and Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) overseeing seven Johnson & Johnson Korea affiliates. She has also contributed to public service as a legal advisor for Seoul Gangnam Police Station and Seocho District Office, offering continued support to public institutions.

Her contributions to the legal field have also been recognized internationally. In 2022, she was named to the In-House Shortlist for Women in Business Law: Corporate Counsel of the Year. In 2023, she served as a judge for the APAC “Women to Watch” awards, and in 2024, she moderated the Cybersecurity Session at the World Knowledge Forum.

On her appointment to the Civil Review Committee, Attorney Kim stated:
