The Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises held an official award ceremony on June 17 at its main conference hall in Yeouido, Seoul, where commendations from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups were presented to individuals recognized for their contributions to the small business sector.

Attorney Hwang Seo-hyeon, Partner Attorney at Suhn Law Group, was awarded a Ministerial Commendation from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in recognition of her continued dedication to protecting the rights of small business owners and providing legal support services based on her strong sense of professional responsibility and legal expertise.

Attorney Hwang currently serves as a member of the Business Adjustment Deliberation Committee of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, where she contributes to fostering a more balanced and cooperative environment between small business owners and small- to medium-sized enterprises.

In addition, as Vice Chair of the Donation Management Committee of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises, she has worked to strengthen transparency and public accountability in the organization’s major initiatives. Through regular legal columns and advisory activities, she has also continued supporting small business owners by making legal services more accessible and easier to understand.

During the ceremony, Song Chi-young, President of the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises, personally presented the commendation and stated:

“Attorney Hwang Seo-hyun has consistently listened to the voices of small business owners for many years and has actively worked to protect their rights and improve institutional support systems. We look forward to her continuing to play an important role in helping small business owners operate in a more stable and sustainable business environment through her expertise.”

In her remarks following the award, Attorney Hwang said:

“Small businesses and SMEs form the foundation of our economy. I will continue doing my utmost to address the real challenges faced in the field and ensure that small business owners receive the legal protection and support they need.”
